DNF Duel

Nexon’s DNF Duel is finally out on Nintendo Switch after initially launching for PS4, PS5 and PC. Developed by Neople, Arc System Works and Eighting, it’s a fighting game spin-off of Dungeon Fighter Online with 16 characters based on the action RPG’s classes. Check out the launch trailer.

DNF Duel received criticism at launch for its overly broken characters and has since received a Grand Balance patch. All fighters now have increased HP and Guard Gauge in addition to wide-ranging balance changes. Sadly, rollback netcode isn’t included in the Nintendo Switch version. Cross-play also isn’t supported with other platforms.

As for the future, the game’s first Season Pass kicks off this Summer with the addition of Specter. The Awakening System and a new unknown system are also releasing in the same window. The next DLC character launches in Fall, with the third coming in Winter and two more launching next year. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
