Star Wars Outlaws closed the latest Ubisoft Forward, with new gameplay focusing on Kay Vess and her companion Nix. Set during the height of the Galactic Empire, the duo must take on contracts and avoid the Imperials. Check it out below.

The work-in-progress gameplay sees Kay sneaking through a hangar of hired guns, using Nix to trigger buttons and traverse on crates. Things eventually go south, and Kay fights for her life. She rappels out and gets on a speeder, with the hired guns in pursuit. Kay can shoot while traveling, even activating bullet time to aim.

Arriving in Jaunta’s Hope on Toshara, she meets with Danka, an information broker, and an Imperial (who she can choose to bribe or not). Choosing the latter grants some Credits, but she quickly becomes Wanted. Kay and Nix flee to their ship before seamlessly transitioning from planetside to Toshara’s orbit.

It’s not long before TIE Fighters show up, and one must maneuver through a field of debris to shake them before engaging hyperdrive and landing in the Akiva system. A montage of scenes follows, including an encounter with an AT-ST and even sneaking through an Imperial vessel.

Star Wars Outlaws launches in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Ubisoft Connect.
