A datamine of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight‘s upcoming patch 10.1.5 has given players the indication that Blizzard might be turning the well-received Trading Post feature that was launched back in January into a microtransaction store.

Caught by WoW Head, Blizzard added new assets related to the Trading Post in an update currently available on World of Warcraft‘s Public Test Realm, featuring coins of varying amounts and values. The assets bear a striking resemblance to in-game item shops in other games where you would have to spend real money to acquire currency.

The Trading Post feature for World of Warcraft was first announced back in December, and was originally pitched to be a new way players could engage with the game to earn cosmetics that weren’t available in the game anymore. The feature was released as part of the first major content update for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, patch 10.0.5.

In the Trading Post, players can take part in various activities all over Azeroth to earn Trader’s Tender, which can then be spent on acquiring new cosmetic items, such as weapons, armors, mounts, and toys.
