Destiny 2 The Final Shape

Bungie has announced that the annual Destiny 2 Showcase is slated to go live on August 22. During the showcase, the studio plans on revealing more details about upcoming Destiny 2 expansion The Final Shape, as well as details about Season 22, and the next reprised raid, among other things.

To get players excited about the Destiny 2 Showcase next week, Bungie has released a trailer that shows off the reactions of different players to the events in the game’s decade-long story. Check out the Epic Moments – The Light and Darkness Saga trailer below.

As its ominous name might imply, Destiny 2: The Final Shape is slated to be a finale of sorts for a long-running story throughout the Destiny franchise that revolves around the constant battles between the forces of Light and Darkness.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape will likely be the expansion where players get to take on the seemingly-final antagonist of the story arc in The Witness. The expansion will build off the events of the last few expansions, from all the way back in Destiny‘s The Taken King to the more recent Lightfall expansion.
