Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon

FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is out in a few days, and the developer has finally outlined what players on all platforms can expect with resolution and frame rate. The PC version supports up to 120 frames per second and 3840×2160 resolution. Ultrawide monitors and ray tracing (albeit in the Garage only) are also supported.

On Xbox Series X and PS5, the mech combat title supports up to 3840×2160 and 60 FPS, which could indicate a dynamic resolution and/or frame rate. Xbox Series S runs up to 2560×1440 and 60 FPS. Ray tracing is available on all these, but only in the Garage.

On PS4 Pro, it runs up to 3200×1800 and 30 FPS, while the Xbox One X version is slightly better at up to 3840×2160 and 30 FPS. Finally, the PS4 version runs up to 1920×1080 and 30 FPS, while Xbox One is the weakest at up to 1600×900 and 30 FPS. Oddly enough, high-dynamic range lighting is listed only for PS4 and Xbox One X.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launches on August 25th, so we’ll find out how it performs soon. Check out the PC requirements here and some recent gameplay in the meantime.
