Whether or not we’re going to get a new mainline Spyro game anytime soon is anyone’s best guess, though fans of the platforming franchise did get to relive some of its best years when, in 2018, Activision and Toys for Bob released a remake collection of the original three titles with Spyro Reignited Trilogy. And five years on from its launch, it’s continuing to sell well.
Taking to Twitter, in celebration of Spyro the Dragon’s 25th anniversary – which is coming up on September 9 – Activision announced via the series’ official page that Spyro Reignited Trilogy has hit a major sales milestone, with over 10 million units sold worldwide across all platforms.
