Path of Exile Affliction

Grinding Gear Games has revealed the name of the next expansion and Challenge League for Path of Exile – Affliction. It launches on December 8th at 11 AM PST for PC and December 13th for Xbox and PlayStation. Check out the announcement trailer below, though be warned of the presence of creepy crawlies.

A reveal stream is set for November 30th, 12:30 PM PST, showcasing the new content. As is tradition, studio co-founder and managing director Chris Wilson will partake in a live Q&A session with ZiggyD. He’s joined by programmer and fellow co-founder Jonathan Rogers and Mark Roberts, director of Path of Exile 2.

The teaser doesn’t convey much, but players can likely expect new rewards, Uniques, balance changes (hopefully, more than previous leagues), a new league mechanic and end-game activity, and further additions to the Atlas. Maybe we’ll see previous league mechanics added to Standard League as well. Stay tuned for more details in the reveal stream.
