Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes

An extensive new trailer is available for Rabbit and Bear Studios’ Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, an upcoming turn-based role-playing game and spiritual successor to Suikoden. It offers information on the story, other heroes players will meet and new features like War Mode. Check it out below.

The story follows three characters – Nowa, Seign and newcomer Marisa, a Guardian of the Runebarrows. Following their meeting (seemingly after the destruction of Nowa’s homeland), they recruit various heroes to join their cause to oppose the Galdean Empire. As you recruit heroes and build ties, Hero Combos become unlocked. For instance, CJ, Isha and Garoo from Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising return and have the unique Rising Combo.

Battles also involve using the terrain, like avoiding damage by taking cover. There’s also War Mode, where players partake in large-scale real-time battles. Your legion strengthens as more members join, and dynamic conversations occur with each new opponent fought.

Finally, there’s Alliance Headquarters, a base that expands as new heroes join and add new facilities, pastures, etc. There are mini-games, like a collectible card game, cooking, fishing and even races.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes launches on April 23rd, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. It also launches on day one for Game Pass.
