DNF Duel - Battle Mage

Nexon’s latest DLC character for DNF Duel, the Battle Mage, is live on all platforms. Part of the $19.99 Season Pass (and available standalone for $6.99), she specializes in close-quarters melee combat with her spear. By generating magical Chases and consuming them, she gains powerful effects and attacks for an advantage.

Her Awakening Skill, “Quasar Explosion”, throws down a large Chaser, which creates an enormous explosion. Battle Mage is considered beginner-friendly, with Chaser usage having a higher skill ceiling. In addition to her arrival, a new stage, Meister’s Laboratory, is available for all players.

DNF Duel is available for PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. It recently launched on the Epic Games Store, and cross-play with Steam users is supported. The next two DLC characters arrive in 2024, so stay tuned for more details in the coming months. In the meantime, check out our review of the base game here. It’s since received numerous balance changes, including a Grand Balance Patch.
