Developer Cloud Imperium Games has released a new ship pack for Star Citizen. As spotted by TweakTown, the ship pack, dubbed Legatus 2953, is one of the most expensive packs available to purchase in the game, and is priced at $48,000.

For context, there have been other Legatus ship packs released in the past, each being quite expensive. the Legatus 2950 was released in 2018 and was priced at $27,000. This was followed by the Legatus 2951 in 2021, priced at $40,000. 2022 saw the release of the Legatus 2952 for $42,000.

According to its in-game description, the Legatus 2953 ship pack is a collection of over 175 ships from every manufacturer, and includes every ship released so far.

Despite the incredibly expensive ships that can be purchased through the in-game shop, Star Citizen hasn’t seen a full release yet. The game is still in development, and players can check out the alpha build by pre-ordering the title.

Star Citizen is slated for release on PC. The game occasionally gets free-to-play demos, including one that happened back in November coinciding with its yearly Intergalactic Aerospace Expo.
