Team Ninja released a new gameplay overview for Rise of the Ronin at State of Play, showing off one of the three major cities – Yokohama. Set in Japan during the Bakumatsu, players can explore locations using Avicula, a glider, or on horseback. Check it out below.

There’s plenty of combat, as you can parry enemies to break their stances and use different styles advantageous against specific weapons. Along with katanas, there are handguns, with the inventor, Igashichi, granting access to arms like a flamethrower. You can also fight with a rifle and bayonet and execute foes with gunshots.

The gameplay showcases a variety of scenarios, from large battles with other NPCs to allies that accompany you on missions. Depending on your decisions, bonds, and even the allied characters, the flow of the story can change, leading to different endings.

Rise of the Ronin launches on March 22nd for PS5. Head here for more details on the factions.
