Following reports of Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming to PS5, it seems Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 could follow. Xbox Era co-founder Nick Baker tweeted, “Starfield isn’t where the plans end”, and he reckoned that “you’ll probably see Hellblade 2 as well.”
It follows earlier rumors of Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush potentially launching for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Microsoft is reportedly rethinking its multiplatform strategy for first-party titles, with an official announcement to come before the end of the fiscal year. Interestingly, Baker feels that with “enough push back, there’s a chance they don’t completely follow through” when asked about Microsoft potentially stepping back from the decision.
It wouldn’t be the first time that Xbox-exclusive titles arrived on other platforms – Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and Cuphead are good examples. However, those were still independent developers – Bethesda Game Studios, Tango Gameworks, Ninja Theory, and more are first-party. We’ll have to wait and see if it’s legitimate in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more updates.
In the meantime, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is out on May 21st for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Head here for more details.
Sadly, Starfield isn't where the plans end. Reckon you'll probably see Hellblade II as well https://t.co/3voBNLc27V
