The update also brings with it a new icon for the game on PlayStation and Switch, making it not-ugly anymore.

Pentiment

As part of Xbox’s expanded multiplatform efforts, Pentiment launched for Switch and PlayStation last month, but weirdly enough, at the same time, its 120 FPS option was removed for Xbox Series X players, even though it was still available on the PlayStation 5. Developer Obsidian Entertainment said shortly afterward that the mode would be added back in with an upcoming patch, and that patch has now arrived.

Taking to Twitter, Obsidian recently confirmed that patch 1.3 has gone live for Pentiment, re-introducing a 120 FPS option in the game’s Xbox Series X version. Meanwhile, the game’s previous (incredibly ugly) home menu icon on PlayStation and Switch is also gone, having been replaced by the gorgeous key art.

Other changes include the PlayStation version’s controller graphics and the Platinum Trophy’s name being updated, while Obsidian has also implemented a fix for an issue that was previously not allowing the High Contrast accessibility option to render correctly in some cases.

Pentiment is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is also set to receive a physical release, courtesy of Limited Run Games.
