Destiny 2 - The Final Shape_03

Salvation’s Edge is the latest raid for Destiny 2, available with The Final Shape. You need to reach 1945 Power and have completed the Wild Card Exotic Mission quest to have access. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

How to Complete Salvation’s Edge

Substratum (1st Encounter)

Upon landing in, there’s some platforming and slaying before you reach the first encounter. Note the various doors in the room and split into two teams of three. You’ll see a chest and a glowing pyramid-like object – pick up the latter to start. Vex Supplicants will spill in – take them out and have each team go through a separate door. Slay enemies and Hydras to open doors for the other side until a Tormentor spawns in the beginning room. Kill it and repeat this process.

After killing the second Tormentor, return to the room with a plate. Follow the line to a second plate and conduit. Two players on each team must step on and off the plates and pass energy back and forth to spawn Resonances (in this case, Pyramidal). They must do this several times and pick up three Resonances each. The third person in each team can slay enemies and pick up Resonances that spawn in the center room.

Once done, the player with the conduit must shoot it before the energy comes back to close the circuit. A Subjugator will then spawn in the center – kill and have everyone dunk their Resonance in the chest. If everything goes accordingly, you should have it done within two cycles. Beware the hands of The Witness and avoid the glowing spots it creates. Golden Guns, Song of Flame and Banner of War Titan can all work, while Khvostov, Sunshot, The Call and machine guns are best for damage.

Dissipation (2nd Encounter)

Similar to the first, but you now have to divide into three teams of two to cover the entire room. In the center is the Herald of Finality, which can’t be damaged until you dunk Resonance. Another shape enters the mix with Spherical Resonance. Furthermore, a random person on each side will receive a “Call to Reckoning” and must go to the center to damage the Herald. Destroy the surrounding Blights to make him vulnerable and gain Stolen Favor.

The one with Stolen Favor then calls out the shape needed on the conduit and ping-pongs energy like the first encounter. Dunk everything in the chest and then assail the Herald. Bring some swords, including an Ergo Sum with Pack Hunter and Heartshadow to weaken the boss, along with a Well of Radiance. This entire process will need at least two cycles. Continue attacking in the final stand to win.

Repository (3rd Encounter)

Now combine the mechanics of the previous two encounters, stretching across three rooms, and add a third shape, Hexahedron Resonance. You must now kill Tormentors to get Stolen Favor. The three players with the latter stand near the conduits and repeat the process of bouncing energy. Once everyone has picked up their requisite Resonance, kill the Subjugator that spawns and deposit them in the chest. The paths between each plate become more convoluted with each room, but the mechanics remain the same.

Verity (4th Encounter)

Verity is arguably the most challenging encounter in the raid, not only because it’s a puzzle but because a lot is going on. Note your teammates’ looks to make them stand out, note each other’s Ghost, and then check out the video below for everything you need to do.

The Witness (Final Encounter)

This encounter involves players gaining the Glyphbreaker buff by destroying hands in the arena. You then target the buttons on the front of The Witness to reveal its weak spot.

There are three types of hands, and they perform different attacks. Check their glowing space and denote them as Circle (Yellow), Triangle (Green) and Square (Red). Stand in the glow and shoot the hand in question to see one of two colors on its band. Look for the space corresponding to that color and stand in it briefly. Once you have the corresponding Resonance, shoot the hand and get the Glypbreaker buff.

Go to the platform in the center and shoot one of the buttons on The Witness. Do this six times to expose its weak spot. Still Hunt and Nighthawk Golden Gun Hunters will help immensely. Of course, there’s much more to remember, so check out the video below for more details.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is available now. Check out our review, where we awarded it a 9 out of 10.
