It’s always interesting to watch new players and how they approach certain video games or genres. They can acclimate to the mechanics almost immediately or struggle for hours on hand to figure things out. Then again, it isn’t mutually exclusive to them. Sometimes, even long-time players tend to make those same mistakes, consciously or not. Here are 15 such examples.

Accidentally Rolling Off Ledges

Listen, we’ve all been there. Maybe it was that one time when you meant to sprint in a Dark Souls title but didn’t hold the button down. Perhaps it occurred while platforming in Elden Ring or fighting Margit the Fell Omen. Nevertheless, it’s still a rookie mistake that gets us every time – almost humbling and reminding us that we can mess up to such an extent despite so many hours in a game.
