Forza Horizon 4

Microsoft has developed a terrible habit of taking older titles in the Forza franchise off-sale just a handful of years after their releases due to expiring licenses, and the company is set to nuke yet another beloved entry in the racing series.

Developer Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted this December, just a little over six years after it first came out. Starting December 15, the game will no longer be available to purchase on any platform, while starting today, the game’s DLCs will start getting delisted, while the game itself will start seeing frequent discounts across all platforms until its delisting.

That, of course, means that post-launch content for the game is set to drive up as well. Series 77 of Forza Horizon 4 will kick off on July 25, though it will be the game’s last. It will bring a new Festival Playlist that will last until August 22, following which Achievements related to Festival Playlists also will no longer remain unlockable.

Following its delisting (which, in case you were wondering, will also include Xbox Game Pass), Forza Horizon 4 will remain playable both online and offline for those who’ve already purchased the game. Physical copies of the game purchased after its delisting will also work as normal.

Forza Horizon 4 is currently available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Read our review of the game through here. Its successor, Forza Horizon 5is also available on the same platforms.
