It may not be the Alien: Isolation sequel that fans are still pining for, but Survios’ Alien: Rogue Incursion is shaping up to be a solid VR first-person shooter. Launching for PlayStation VR2, Steam VR, and Meta Quest 3, the latest gameplay trailer finally reveals the protagonist: Zula Hendricks. Check it out below courtesy of IGN.
Hendricks is a former Colonial Marine and appeared in comic books like Aliens: Defiance and Aliens: Resistance alongside novels like Alien: Prototype and even Alien: Isolation. Though Rogue Incursion’s placement in the timeline is unknown, it offers an original story where Hendricks ventures to Purdan with Davis-01 to investigate a black site facility.
As expected, she encounters Xenomorphs and must fight to survive, relying on pulse rifles, shotguns, and revolvers along with the series’ trademark motion sensor. What secrets lay within the facility, and how do they explain the Xenomorphs? We’ll find out when Alien: Rogue Incursion launches in Holiday 2024. Stay tuned for more details until then.
