Following an impressive gameplay trailer last year, Pearl Abyss’s Crimson Desert is coming to Gamescom. A playable demo will be available for attendees from August 21st to 25th from 9 AM to 8 PM CEST at the developer’s booth in the Koelnmesse Exhibition Center. It also outlined what players could expect from the demo in a new press release.

As Kliff, one starts in a battle against multiple enemies while learning more about the character and the Greyman mercenaries. After becoming acquainted with the combat, weapons (like the sword, shield, and bow), and skills, players travel to a “mysterious area.” They’ll then battle one of four bosses, each possessing “different designs, attack patterns, speeds, and mechanics.”

Pearl Abyss didn’t confirm further details like a proper release date announcement or whether the demo would be available for the public. Crimson Desert is in development for consoles and PC, with a reported release sometime in fiscal year 2025. Stay tuned for more details and potential new gameplay footage when Gamescom rolls around.
