The next season of Overwatch 2 is right around the corner, offering a new mode, Clash, and Juno, a new Support hero. Of course, there will also be balance updates, with a new blog post indicating some of the changes.
Several Damage and Support heroes are seeing health reductions, with Blizzard targeting “mobile heroes” who have a “huge advantage” in the game’s current state. Lifeweaver is also receiving updates to Petal Platform and changes to Healing Blossom and Rejuvenating Dash. All of the changes will be detailed in next week’s patch notes.
The nerf to mobile Support heroes makes sense, especially given the dominance of Kiriko and Lucio. As for Damage heroes, it remains to be seen if the likes of Pharah and Tracer will be affected. It’s also unknown if Blizzard will do anything to rein in Tanks, who received multiple buffs to survival last season.
Season 12: New Frontiers begins on August 20th. Check out the launch trailer here for details on what to expect.
