In addition to showcasing a main quest dungeon and Gauntlet Runner activities in Studio Zero’s Metaphor: ReFantazio, the latest Atlus Showcase also discussed Travel Routines. As players progress, they’ll unlock multiple routes to destinations, allowing them to visit several locations in a single stretch.

While this cuts down on the days spent traveling, players will encounter more combat. During nighttime, special activities become available as the party sets up camp. You can converse with allies or bathe, the latter employing different bath salts for stat increases.

Alongside finding special items in towns, players can also discover scenic locations like Peregrine Falls. This prompts a commemorative drawing, which you can give to Maria (who unlocks the Healer Archetype) in the Hushed Honeybee Inn in Grand Trad.

Finally, another new location, Virga Island, is showcased. Players encounter a newly revealed ally, Eupha. Though she eventually joins the party, her entourage isn’t too happy at your initial interaction.

The next Atlus Showcase debuts this Fall and promises “exciting new information.” Metaphor: ReFantazio will also be at Tokyo Game Show 2024 with a large exhibit and a special demo. The game is out on October 11th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
