Monster Hunter Wilds

In the latest Monster Hunter Wilds showcase stream, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed that the title would receive an open beta next week. It will be available from October 31st, 8 PM PT, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, until November 3rd, 6:59 PM PT.

PlayStation Plus and Game Pass Core/Ultimate aren’t required to, but subscribers of the former get early access on PS5 from October 28th, 8 PM PT, to October 30th. The beta will feature a story trial with players battling Chatacabra. However, you can also hunt the Doshaguma and experience the dynamically changing climates and conditions of the biomes.

Cross-play is supported for the duration of the beta and players can utilize the character creator to shape their Hunter (which carries over into the game). If you’re keen on playing offline, then AI Support Hunters can be called in for support.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025. Check out the Deluxe Edition, which includes two post-launch cosmetic DLC, here. You can also watch more extensive gameplay footage from the PS5 version running in 60 frames per second.
