The consistency with which Capcom’s modern Resident Evil games have continued to sell years and years on from launch has been hugely impressive to see, and unsurprisingly (at this point, at least), that continues to be the case. Capcom has updated its Platinum Titles page, which lists quarterly updated sales figures for all of its million-plus selling games, and provided fresh numbers for its Resident Evil titles.

In particular, Resident Evil 2 catches the eye, with the 2019 remake now standing at 14.5 million units sold, up from the end of the previous quarter by 300,000 units. The remake still isn’t the series’ bestselling game yet, with Resident Evil 5’s total lifetime sales sitting at 15.1 million units, but if it maintains the pace at which it has been selling, it’ll surely hit that milestone in a few months’ time.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil 3’s 2020 remake also continues to sell well. It now stands at 9.2 million units sold, having sold an additional 200,000 units over the course of the quarter ending September 30. Finally, as previously announced, Resident Evil 4’s 2023 remake stands at 8 million units sold.

Updated sales figures have also been provided for Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village. Read more on that through here.
