At CES 2025, Nvidia has finally unveiled its newest generation of graphics cards. Dubbed the GeForce RTX 50 series, the new GPUs run on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture and boast considerable improvements over their previous-generation counterparts.

The company unveiled four graphics cards as part of the new line-up: the RTX 5090, the RTX 5080, the RTX 5070 Ti, and the RTX 5070. These are noted to be twice as fast as their 40-series counterparts.

The GeForce RTX 5090 is the new flagship graphics card for Nvidia and boasts 32 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, 1,792 GB/sec memory bandwidth, 21,760 CUDA cores, 680 fifth-generation Tensor cores, and 170 fourth-generation ray tracing cores. Along with great performance in gaming, the GPU also boasts high performance in generative AI applications.

The GeForce RTX 5080 is the second-best GPU launching in Nvidia’s new line-up, featuring 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM and 960 GB/sec memory bandwidth. The game boasts double the performance of the GeForce RTX 4080 in games ranging from Far Cry 6 to Alan Wake 2 and Black Myth: Wukong.

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti occupies the upper mid-range of the new line-up, with 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM and 896 GB/sec of memory bandwidth. Nvidia states that the card will offer double the speed of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.

Closing things out in terms of new GPU announcements is the GeForce RTX 5070, meant to be the ideal card for players gaming at 1440p. The GPU features 12 GB of GDDR7 memory and 672 GB/sec of memory bandwidth, in comparison to the 504 GB/sec offered by the RTX 4070.

The top-of-the-line GeForce RTX 5090 is priced at $1,999, with the RTX 5080 coming in at $999, the RTX 5070 Ti at $749, and the RTX 5070 at $549. The GPUs will get a rolling launch, with the RTX 5080 coming out at the end of January and the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti coming out in February.
