In the roughly two weeks since its reveal, the Nintendo Switch 2 has seen extensive controversy, from game pricing and subscribing to Nintendo Switch Online for GameChat to paid upgrades and Game-Key Cards. Add one more to the list because Nintendo has seemingly removed any mention of Variable Refresh Rate support while the console is docked.

Spotted by RandomlyRandom67 on ResetEra, the official websites in the United States and Canada had any mention of VRR removed. HDR and 120 frames per second support on compatible TVs remain, and you can still play in up to 4K resolution when the console is docked.

Nintendo hasn’t commented on the ommission or whether the feature could arrive in a potential post-launch update. The Switch 2 launches on June 5th for $449.99, though Nintendo has delayed pre-orders due to the recent tariffs in the United States. It’s currently unknown if the console will receive a price hike or if the company should eat the cost, as some believe.
