Nintendo has announced a delay to Switch 2 pre-orders in the United States to “assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.” Originally slated to begin on April 9th, the company told GameSpot that it will update the timing “at a later date.” However, the console is still launching on June 5th.

Several retailers, like Walmart and Target, have already created listings for the Switch 2 with the old pre-order dates, so expect those to change soon. The console is still listed for $449.99, while the Mario Kart World bundle is $499.99. Whether the tariffs will result in price increases remains to be seen, so stay tuned.

Alongside Mario Kart World, which retails for a whopping $79.99, titles like Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, Street Fighter 6, Deltarune Chapters 1-4, Fortnite, and more will be available at launch. The console sports a 7.8-inch display with a 1080p resolution, but its dock allows for outputting to 4K. Head here for more details.
