Gears of War Reloaded

Xbox Game Studios has announced Gears of War: Reloaded, a “celebration” of the iconic third-person shooter. It launches on August 26th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC for $39.99 and will also be available on day one for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Furthermore, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition owners will receive it as a free upgrade (provided they’ve owned it before today, 4 PM UTC).

Developed by The Coalition alongside Sumo Interactive and Disbelief, Gears of War: Reloaded includes all the content from the Ultimate Edition and all post-launch additions like multiplayer maps, cosmetics, characters, and more. As for visual improvements, you can look forward to remastered textures and 4K assets, support for 4K resolution, shadow and reflection improvements, and improved post-processing for effects.

The campaign promises no loading screens and 60 FPS support, while multiplayer runs at 120 FPS. HDR and Variable Refresh Rate are also supported. Stay tuned for more details before launch, especially with the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8th.
