Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak has a release date and price for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Before that, players on all platforms can sign up for a closed technical test that begins on May 15th and ends on May 19th.

The objective is to test matchmaking and balancing with crossplay enabled. You’re not guaranteed access upon signing up because of limited slots. However, the Twitter post mentions the Unlimited Firebreakers Ordinance (U.F.O) that director Jesse Faden (from Control) has yet to sign.

A potential tease for an open beta before launch? Time will tell, so stay tuned. FBC: Firebreak launches on June 17th for $39.99. Remedy has promised free post-launch updates, including new content, though you’ll have to pay for Classified Requisitions. They function similarly to Helldivers 2’s Premium Warbonds but only contain cosmetics.

Players who purchase the base game can access an Operational Requisition containing weapons and other equipment, but these unlock with in-game currency. Stay tuned for more details, and check out some gameplay here.
