Atlus and Sega have officially confirmed a remake of 2008 RPG Persona 4. Titled Persona 4 Revival, the game is a ground-up remake that makes use of a more modern engine. Check out the trailer below.
While no gameplay was revealed in the trailer, we did get a good look at the new rendition of the small village of Inaba thanks to the more modern technology powering the game under the hood. If Persona 3 Reload is any indication, we will likely also see more modernised menus in Persona 4 Revival that are more in line with Persona 5.
The fact that a remake of Persona 4 was in the works has been the subject of quite a few rumours in recent times. The game is likely being made for the studio to get some practice in as they start work on the next mainline title in the Persona franchise.
Persona 4 Revival is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also be playable through Xbox Cloud.
