Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds recently saw the launch of Title Update 2, which brought a few improvements to the PC version’s performance. Unfortunately, it hasn’t done much to help it budge from the “Overwhelmingly Negative” rating on Steam from recent reviews. Such is the backlash against performance troubles that even the company’s shareholders are raising questions.

When asked if the development team is aware of feedback regarding Wilds, Capcom responded, “Our development staff are reviewing user feedback, including comments shared online, and will address issues where possible through future title updates.” The shareholders also asked whether other companies recruiting Capcom’s developers is what led to the situation.

“Regarding staffing, we assign appropriate personnel to each title,” it responded while clarifying that many of the team members working on Monster Hunter Wilds have “previously worked on the Monster Hunter series.” While it didn’t provide any updates on how it will address negative feedback, the company did confirm more improvements and fixes with its future Title Updates.

Title Update 3 arrives at the end of September and adds another new monster and quest difficulty level. Players can also craft random Talismans and assign them skills or decoration slots. For Title Update 4, due this Winter, it’s looking at ways to keep Artian Weapons relevant (and adding another new monster).
