The Alters

After announcing 280,000 copies sold, 11 bit studios’ The Alters has a new update, bringing fixes to rebellious behavior, main quests breaking due to certain conditions, and, of course, crashes. It also fixes an issue preventing the Alters from gathering on the final day and provides various adjustments to their side stories.

It also addresses various translation errors and replaces the controversial AI-generated text in the Command Center. The Social Room films should also no longer have machine-translated subtitles. Collision issues, SFX issues, the HUD not scaling properly, and much more have also been addressed.

Check out some of the patch notes below and full details here, but beware of spoilers. The Alters is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC alongside Game Pass. Check out our review here – we gave it an eight out of ten, praising the visual design, setting and approach to social survival while criticizing some of the more mundane gameplay aspects.
