Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom released its latest financial report, covering sales for the fiscal quarter ending on June 31st, 2025. Sales continue to grow for several titles, but perhaps the most notable is Monster Hunter Wilds, which sold 477,000 in those three months.

That may not sound like a big deal, but the latest flagship title in the series sold over 10 million units in its first month, becoming Capcom’s fastest-selling release ever. In its follow-up consolidated financial results, the publisher acknowledged that sales for Wilds were “soft,” but assured that its predecessor, Monster Hunter Rise, continued to see “sales growth.”

Monster Hunter Rise sold 389,000 copies in the fiscal quarter, which isn’t too shabby considering it’s a four-year-old game. However, the fact that Wilds isn’t significantly out-pacing it, and is the ninth-best-selling title of the quarter despite being the newest, is concerning. This may be due to various pending concerns, including performance issues on PC, a lackluster end-game, and more.

Stay tuned for further updates. Monster Hunter Wilds is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with its next update due on August 13th. It adds various weapon balance adjustments, a new quest difficulty level, and Talisman crafting (originally meant for Title Update 3 in September).
