With Battlefield 6 becoming available for pre-order and EA getting ready not only to launch it on October 10, but to also kick off a pair of beta tests later this month, the company has also confirmed the hardware requirements for the PC version of the upcoming shooter. Three sets of hardware requirements have been provided, ranging from minimum hardware needed to play at 1080p with 30 FPS, to recommended hardware to play at 1440p at 60 FPS and high settings.

The minimum requirements, based on the Low preset in the game’s graphics options, need an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM at 2,133 mhz, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380 graphics card.

When it comes to running the game at high graphics settings and 60 FPS, however, EA recommends an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Intel Arc B580 graphics card, and 16 GB of 3,200 mhz RAM. The same hardware can also be run at 1080p and low graphics settings for more stable framerates while maintaining 60 FPS or beyond, according to EA.

As for storage, Battlefield 6 will require 75 GB of space. The minimum specs, however, only need a hard drive. Even so, faster SSDs will undoubtedly offer up better performance.

Keen-eyed readers will notice that the Performance specs more-or-less match the recommended specs, which would imply that EA recommends players to make sure to maintain 60 FPS on their hardware setup owing to the fast-paced, frantic nature of multiplayer battles in Battlefield 6.
