Digital Sun’s Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault enters PC early access on October 23rd, according to a new trailer. It will be available on Steam and the Windows Store alongside PC Game Pass.
With plans to remain in early access “as long as the game needs it,” Moonlighter 2 will feature three biomes, four weapon types, over 120 relics to collect and sell, a “big part of the story,” and almost 100 perks to customize dungeon runs with. You can also customize and run Will’s shop, maintaining the merchant by day, explorer by night gameplay loop of the original.
Of course, the sequel has seen its fair share of mixed feedback following the demo. Digital Sun has confirmed that “the shop, the backpack, and many other core systems” have changed following feedback, and they’ll “keep evolving” through early access.
The full release promises even more environments, enemies, bosses, NPCs, quests, and story content alongside quality-of-life improvements. While it hasn’t confirmed a price increase upon exiting early access, the developer may adjust it depending on the amount of content and features added. Stay tuned for updates in the coming months.
