EA has released a new trailer for Battlefield 6, this time around focusing on some of the features of the shooter’s PC version. The trailer, which you can check out below, highlights various features, including support for 4K graphics, uncapped frame rates, and ultrawide monitor support.

Through the trailer, EA has also confirmed that Battlefield 6 will support hardware features like Nvidia’s DLSS 4, AMD’s FSR 4, and Intel’s XeSS 2. Along with this, PC players will also have access to more than 600 customisation options for various aspects of the title, from tweaking HDR settings to HUD scaling, camera settings, and even a streamer mode that obfuscates other players’ names.

The trailer also highlighted EA’s Javelin Anti-Cheat solution that will power cheat detection and prevention in Battlefield 6. The version of Javelin being used for Battlefield 6 features unique modifications that will help detect cheats and hacks that are unique to the FPS genre.

Along with these features, we also got a look at Portal, including a couple of quick glimpses at the creator tools that include Spatial Editing and AI scripting that will allow players to come up with their own experiences. The Portal Builder Tool will also support custom UI scripting through which users can create brand new user interfaces.

User-generated content isn’t going to be the only thing Portal is being used for, however. It will also act as the home for the server browser in Battlefield 6. Through this server browser, players can find matches with the exact filters and customisations they want, from Hardcode Mode to Closed Weapon Loadouts. Portal will also feature Verified Community Experiences through which players can keep access to the full suite of progression systems that Battlefield 6 has to offer.

EA had confirmed the minimum and recommended hardware specs for Battlefield 6 earlier this month. The title will feature plenty of support for even relatively low-end hardware, from the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400 CPU at the minimum, all the way up to an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. On the GPU side of things, requirements range from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380, up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Intel Arc B580 graphics card.

EA also confirmed that Battlefield Labs playtests are coming back, with sign-ups open once again. Along with testing out game balance and other gameplay mechanics, the playtest this time around will also focus on Portal, particularly when it comes to UI clarity and general UX. Along with this, the playtest will also bring with it two new maps to test out the game balance for combined arms games – matches where both infantry and vehicles have major roles to play.

Battlefield 6 is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 10. In the meantime, check out what the success of the open betas from earlier this month has meant for EA and its share prices.
