Like many companies, Pearl Abyss has published its first quarter 2026 earnings, and to no one’s surprise, Crimson Desert was a tremendous contributor. In fact, it helped the company reach its highest quarterly revenue yet, which increased by nearly 420 percent year-over-year and 382.4 percent quarter-over-quarter. It also saw a 2,107.8 percent increase in net profit compared to the same period last year.
The company noted that 94 percent of its total revenue for the quarter was from overseas sales. Sales from North America and Europe contributed 81 percent of that revenue at 266.5 billion won (about $178.85 million), which is very impressive. Interestingly, consoles and PC each made up 50 percent of the total revenue for Crimson Desert.
Of course, Black Desert, its ongoing MMORPG, was no slouch either. Despite being available in South Korea since 2015 and Europe/North America in 2016, it achieved 61.6 billion won (about $41.34 million) in revenue. However, Pearl Abyss expects revenue to decrease slightly quarter-over-quarter as it focuses on “improving the user experience” and holding events rather than “major content updates.”
The same goes for Crimson Desert, though this is more due to the “front-loaded” initial sales of packaged games. It still expects “stable performance” and will continue post-launch support in the form of additional patches.
