It may not reach the same player peaks as its first month, but Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders continues to rack up the sales, according to Nexon’s Q1 2026 financial report. The extraction shooter has sold 4.6 million copies in the three months ending March 31st. Lifetime sales currently sit at over 16 million since its October 2025 launch.

“Extraordinary worldwide sales have made ARC Raiders the most successful new product release in company history, and demonstrated that Nexon can deliver games at scale across global markets. Six months after the launch, and driven by a steady stream of content updates, ARC Raiders surpassed 16 million unit sales worldwide and consistently ranked among the top games on Steam’s most-played chart.”

If that wasn’t enough, over half of its active players have spent more than 100 hours in-game, resulting in over 1.5 billion hours, which is an “exceptionally high level of engagement.”

By all metrics, ARC Raiders seemingly has nowhere to go but up, and yet, it’s interesting to how Embark Studios is changing how it updates the game. As announced yesterday, instead of monthly updates, the team is shifting to a semi-annual cadence with the next patch, Frozen Trail, due in October.

Lest you think support is winding down, this shift is to ensure the extraction shooter can implement bigger changes, especially to progression and other systems. The next update is slated to add the title’s largest map yet with new ARC threats, weapons, tools, and more. It’s even going to kickstart a mystery surrounding the origin of the ARCs.

In the short term, a new Trader will arrive in the Rust Belt next week, offering unique rewards – including two new Perks – in exchange for “high-value items.” Embark is also committed to regularly adjusting the balance, fixing bugs, and releasing new player events, so there will be some content to log in for. It remains to be seen whether the lack of major content monthly results in a Destiny 2-like situation.
