The folks over on the team behind Battlefield 6 certainly like to plan ahead, with a new roadmap laying out the rest of its plans for Season 4 and what it plans to open Season 5 with.
There’s a lot of cool stuff on the way, beginning with Custom Lobbies coming on August 18th alongside Wake Island, with many options available for hosts to set things up. Battle Royale Quad and Conquest are supported initially, but other modes will be added over time. Proximity chat’s another exciting addition on September 15th, and all of this is coming to Battlefield Labs before it hits the game so we get to test it out.
The team’s playing things close to the chest for Season 5, but it has since confirmed that it’s launching in Winter and is bringing three new maps. One is infantry-focused while the other two are slated to integrate the different kinds of warfare available into one spectacular experience, and we can’t wait to learn more about them.
There’s quite a lot to unpack in the official announcement, along with a Q&A where the developers respond to player questions from Discord. It’s interesting stuff if you live and breathe Battlefield 6.
