The curtain’s been lifted on 1001 Threads of Mizan, a three-player co-op action adventure set in an Arabian-themed fantasy world where you team up with your friends to take on deadly djinn.
You do that on the ground, or by hopping on flying carpets to zoom off into the distance in a world where the desert stretches on, but that’s only more of an excuse to make sure you don’t miss any juicy secrets hidden amongst the sands, or tucked away in forgotten corners of a land that beckons to you almost constantly. A class-based system looks like it could be in play, letting you pick your preferred way of doling out damage to any threats you come by on your journeys.
Of course, the djinn are going to be standing in your way, and the game’s announcement trailer showed off an aerial battle against a colossal boss called Nazjush just before the trailer came to an end. Bummer.
We don’t know when this one’s hitting the shelves, but we do know it’s being made by a studio that has some serious firepower within its ranks. Let’s hope that translates to an experience that’s as good as it looks with this one.
