STAR WARS: Galactic Racer is definitely a title we’ve been itching to learn more about.
Yeah, there was that overview of its multiplayer modes among other things, but a closer look at the vehicles we’re going to be driving once it’s in our hands this October was definitely warranted. That’s just what the latest deep dive into the game gives us, and we can tell you that each of the three playable vehicles is looking like a blast.
There’s the humble yet very nimble speed bike, which lets you manage your forward momentum in tough situations by storing kinetic energy from hard braking for a burst of speed when you need it. The Skim Speeder is a low-flying aircraft that’s highly manoeuvrable even around the tightest bends, and comes with enough speed on it to keep your opponents scrambling to catch up.
Of course, the one we’re all going to be climbing into as soon as we can is the Pod Racer, and that thing’s going to be barely visible to anybody trying to see it in action from the stands. All in all, it’s only a little while away till we all channel our inner Anakins (you know, the good parts) and take to the tracks in a title that’s had us very eager to try out everything it’s offering.
