We’ve got yet another face to meet from Final Fantasy Resonance after that look at Squall and his introverted ways.
It’s the wandering Swordmaster Gilgamesh, who seems rather lost and lacking his memories. His trailer shows a potentially challenging encounter that brings a lot of your party members onto the field for a collaborative effort to fight him, before one of his former companions seems to appear and diffuse the situation. Given how adorable the partner in question is, it isn’t really a surprise.
We’re guessing that’s a good thing since the man cuts quite the imposing figure, looming tall over the rest of the cast, which includes warriors formidable in their own right. His many hands and multiple weapons showcase a warrior who seems proficient at them all, and one who might not hesitate to deal a fatal blow in the heat of a battle. He certainly looks like a “hesitation is defeat” kind of guy.
We’re excited to see his role in the story, and why he’s called a swordmaster. Final Fantasy Resonance launches on October 22nd for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, but you can try out the free demo now.
