While much of the trailer focused on small character moments and regular enemies, a large golem made up of furniture was teased at the end.

Developer Unseen has released a new trailer for its co-op action game Kemuri during Tokyo Game Show 2026. The trailer, which you can check out below, clocks in at a minute and a half in length and shows a mix of story and character moments from throughout the game.

The trailer kicks things off by showcasing four of its playable characters sharing a meal at a ramen stand before cutting to fast-paced action kickstarted by a character diving into a baseball field. Along with getting a glimpse at the personalities of its characters, we also get to see the variety of enemies that we will get to fight, as well as how the protagonists can traverse around the world.

While much of the trailer revolves around fighting regular enemies, we get to see what might end up being a major boss fight right at the end. The boss is seemingly a giant golem made out of random furniture being collected and stuck together. A round table, for instance, forms its chest, while a large lamp forms its head.

Kemuri is being developed by a team put together by Ikumi Nakamura, who left Tango Gameworks after wrapping up her work as director on Ghostwire: Tokyo back in 2022. When she first announced the name of her team – Unseen – she described it as being made up of “a mix of cultures” and “a breeding ground for new ideas”.

In an interview from back in 2024, Nakamura had confirmed that the world of Kemuri would be “semi-open”. While what this means in the context of gameplay remains to be seen, trailers so far have given us hints that players will at least be able to explore smaller parts of the town with their various traversal abilities that include gliding, running up buildings, and even grinding along electrical lines.

“It’s kind of hard to describe, but [I don’t want to] actually say open world. We won’t say that either, because that expectation is very different…I don’t know, like Cyberpunk or Fallout. Skyrim is an open world. It’s a ginormous map. It’s not what that is.

“But at the same time, it’s not a linear game either, and it’s quite hard to describe. So, [I] want you to look forward to actually playing the game in the near future.”

The core setting of Kemuri will seemingly be a “large island” or a “peninsula”, and that exploration will be quite player-driven, with players not being given any specific direction to travel along.

Earlier this year, Unseen released the first gameplay trailer for Kemuri, giving us a deeper look at its characters and their various abilities. The trailer also confirmed that the title is slated for release in 2027, and that it will be coming to PS5. There is no word yet on whether it will be exclusive to Sony’s consoles or if it will also come to PC and Xbox Series X/S.
