Call of Duty: Warzone might be a viable free-to-play option for franchise fans, warts and all. However, the sheer ridiculousness of collaboration skins can be downright distracting in an intense firefight.
That’s about to change with the first season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is adding the option to disable skins from other games in Warzone for those of you who’d like to preserve the seriousness of the battlefields it puts you in. That’s definitely a welcome addition, as the official blog post details how it aligns with the game’s revised approach to skins and collaborations. It’s welcome news, and might be as delightful as Mads Mikkelsen’s introduction as the antagonist to some of you tired of seeing comical skins on players trying to riddle you with bullets.
Well, Warzone’sabout to scratch that itch. It’s worth noting, however, that the new filter only turns skins off for you and doesn’t affect your Operator’s appearance. So if squadmates identify enemies based on their crazy cosmetics and leave you in the dark, well, that’s the price you’ll have to pay. Worth it, in our opinion.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23rd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
