If you wanted to dive right into a great story on the go, you might be disappointed to learn that The Wolf Among Us Remastered won’t be released on the Nintendo Switch on October 29.
While the other versions are moving ahead as planned, Telltale Games has announced that the Switch version hasn’t met internal standards and is being delayed “to a later date” to ensure it delivers the intended experience. That’s still good news, since it’s always better to play a version that works as advertised, which certainly seems to be the goal here. Fabletown might be just out of reach, but it’s only going to make returning to it all the more rewarding.
Still, it’s going to be hard to stand by and watch as players dive back into a very memorable adventure or experience it for the first time with some welcome new additions. You could rewatch that nostalgia-filled trailer featuring the cast and development team to pass the time while you wait, though.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is out later this month on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PC. Telltale is also working on the long-awaited sequel, The Wolf Among Us 2, which could finally launch in 2027 after years of delays.
