New Gears of War game developed by Bulletstorm dev

After Game Informer revealed a new Gears of War game yesterday, speculation began that People Can Fly, Epic’s second party studio, was working on the new game rather than Epic themselves.

It’s not been confirmed (more or less) that that is, indeed, the case. “Do I detect People Can Fly involvement? YES YES YES!” Epic Games Mike Capps tweeted when a reader asked Bulletstorm creative director Adrian Chmielarz about the same.

“I detect Epic PR team’s heart attack,” Chmielarz tweeted later, but the update was soon deleted.

The new Gears of War game is set for release on the Xbox 360, however the release date is unspecified. It’s probably going to be a prequel. Microsoft will release more details during E3 this week.

Stay tuned.
