E3 2012: Upcoming LittleBigPlanet 2 update allows you to use PS Vita as a controller, adds a lot extra content

Posted By | On 05th, Jun. 2012

Sony announced during their E3 press conference that they will be releasing a huge update for LittleBigPlanet 2 soon, and this update will allow for cross platform play of the title between the PS3 and the PS Vita.

You will be able to use the PS Vita as a controller while playing LittleBigPlanet 2, being able to use both, the front touchscreen and the rear touchpad.

This new update will also add extra costumes, stickers and an all new story mode to the game. Way to go, Sony, giving us extra content for free along with a new way to play! No, seriously, hats-off.

No specific release date was given, but Jack Tretton announced that it will be coming out ‘later this year.’

We’re pretty sure this is a test run for when Sony releases the PS Vita version of LittleBigPlanet, which is already in development.

Stay tuned for more info, we’ll keep you updated.
