Infinity Ward Looking To Fill Up Vacancies

Posted By | On 23rd, Jun. 2010

Following the extensively covered Infinity Ward saga a few months ago, which  culminated in the expulsion of Vince Zampella and Jason West (who would later go on to form Respawn Entertainment, which has entered into a strategic publishing partnership with EA), it looks as if Activision may finally be looking to hire men to fill up the vacancies that came about after a mass exodus of sorts that came about as a result of the episode.

As per new job listings on Gamasutra, the developer’s hiring for a senior software engineer, an associate producer, a senior animator, a senior effects artist, a senior environment artist and a senior game designer. And apparently, this is only just the beginning, if one would remember Kotick’s recent comments that the  developer would soon go on a hiring spree.

This isn’t the only Call of duty related studio that’s hiring, though. Sledgehammer Games, run by former Visceral Games heads, is also hiring as of May for their first Call of Duty game, which is slated to be an action adventure title.

Well, no matter where this franchise is headed, the next game, at the very least, is set to be huge. Call of Duty: Black Ops, in development at in house studio Treyarch, is looking awesome. Fingers crossed.
