Resident Evil 6

If you ask many of the series’ most ardent fans, the greatest Resident Evil game of all time is not the genre and generation defining masterpiece that was Resident Evil 4. It’s not even the first Resident Evil game, that essentially modernized a genre all by itself, Resident Evil 2, that kicked everything the first game did up into the stratosphere, or even the cult favorite Resident Evil Code Veronica.

No, the greatest Resident Evil game of all time is often considered to be the Resident Evil remake for the Gamecube, which was a thorough and breathtaking reimagining of the clunky PlayStation classic, and honestly brought the game into its own.

So, these people will probably be extremely excited to know that an insider is hinting at a new Resident Evil remake, and it will be coming for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and PC, with a projected release date of 2015.

Once long ago, the Resident Evil franchise was a mess, before Resident Evil’s remake, and Resident Evil 4 came along and revived it. Maybe this new Resident Evil game can set the once again beleaguered franchise back on the path to redemption again. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more information.
