A Way Out Director Has Started Work on Next Project

Josef Fares says he "loves making video games and can't wait to show it".

A Way Out

Hazelight’s A Way Out is only a few days old and garnered quite the strong critical reception. However, game director Josef Fares isn’t sitting around, soaking in the accolades – he recently announced on Twitter that he’s started work on a new game.

If the game’s development has only just begun, then don’t expect much information for a while. It should be interesting to see what Hazelight comes up with next, and whether it will be published under the EA Originals label like A Way Out. As for Fares’ previous games, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, it also focused on two different points of view. Unlike his recent game, however, Brothers had the player controlling both characters at the same time.

A Way Out can only be played by two people in co-op, though only one copy is required for two people to play. You can read our review here to learn more about the game and why it’s so intrinsically satisfying, both from a narrative and co-op standpoint.
