A Way Out

Josef Fares has made a name for himself in the games industry, not only for his boisterous personality, but also as a developer of really good games with the likes of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out. We’ve known for a while that he and his team are working on their next project, which will also be published by EA, and we might soon be hearing about what that game will be.

Responding recently to a tweet about Fares’ infamous “f**k the Oscars” moment at 2017’s The Game Awards, GamesBeat reporter Jeff Grubb teased that people should “get ready for more of it soon.” While that’s by no means a concrete tease and could mean any number of things, it’s worth considering that Fares’ next game has probably been in development for a couple years now, which means they it might be ready for a reveal soon. Additionally, EA have also announced their annual EA Play – this time a digital event, for obvious reasons – will be taking place on June 11, so that’s a pretty likely stage for such an announcement.

We do know that whatever this next game is will also be co-op centric– here’s hoping we learn more about it soon.
