Absolver

SloClap, a studio full of designers, artists and programmers who have worked on Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs and Ghost Recon series, has announced a new online melee RPG called Absolver. It will be published by Devolver Digital and releasing for PC and consoles in 2017. Check out the reveal trailer below.

Absolver has you in the role of a prospect of the Absolvers, fighters who battle to “maintain stability in the world”. Combat isn’t your typical left-click spamming fest – SloClap is promising four different tactical stances along with dodges and parries. Both melee and weapons come into play for either solo battles or 3 vs. 3 fights. You’ll also have the ability to customize your attacks using a battle deck.

Where does the online aspect come in? Apparently, players “seamlessly encounter others in the world, generating unique stories that emerge through player interaction and choices.” More will be showcased on June 13th at 5 PM via Twitch so this is just one more game to look forward to during E3 week.
